Tommy2.Net: Kristin thanks for calling in today.
Kristin: No problem.
Tommy2.Net: So hows life been treating you?
Kristin: Really good ever since the show came out, oh my gosh its amazing.
Tommy2.Net: Just to warm up and get thinking...we're going to run through a quick this or that. All set?
Kristin: Sure.
Tommy2.Net: Jamba Juice or Starbucks?
Kristin: Starbucks.
Tommy2.Net: A Melrose Avenue girl or a mall rat?
Kristin: Mall rat.
Tommy2.Net: Glendale Galleria or Beverly Center?
Kristin: Glendale Galleria.
Tommy2.Net: Knott's Bury Farm or Disneyland?
Kristin: Disneyland.
Tommy2.Net: Okay how about Disneyland or Magic Mountain?
Kristin: Magic Mountain!
Tommy2.Net: Okay how about Pizza Hut or some local place?
Kristin: Some local place.
Tommy2.Net: Surfing or snowboarding?
Kristin: Oh wow...hm...I'd have to say snowboarding.
Tommy2.Net: Okay now we're to the last one. Jesse McCartney or Ricky Ullman?
Kristin: Uh...Jesse McCartney.
Tommy2.Net: Alright thats a good one. Now to start off have you been at any good movies lately?
Kristin: Actually this movie that I last saw was the Amityville Horror and I loved that movie.
Tommy2.Net: Actually I knew that...so what did you like about it in general?
Kristin: Oh my gosh, no cause I'm the type of person that loves scary movies but like the whole entire time I was like jumping through the movie with my friend Brenda. It was so fun though.
Tommy2.Net: Oh yeah? And was that Brenda Song?
Kristin: Yes! She's one of my best friends.
Tommy2.Net: So what type of music are you checking out these days?
Kristin: Well I listen to more like rock and stuff like that than I do R&B. But then I do listen to you know some rap and R&B but um...I have to say my favorite band would be like um...my all time favorite and like alot of people don't know about this band its called Underoath.
Tommy2.Net: Yes, actually I do.
Kristin: Oh really?! Thats like my favorite band of all time.
Tommy2.Net: Actually I was going to say believe it or not right here on my studio console I have a copy of HM Magazine where Underoath was on the cover May-June 2004 issue.
Kristin: Oh my gosh, cool!
Tommy2.Net: Are you familiar with that magazine at all?
Kristin: Yeah. No, no, no I know them!
Tommy2.Net: Really?
Kristin: Yeah. And uh...lets see um...I like the Hink?, I love...oh my gosh theres so many bands...From First to Last, um...Armor for Sleep but for more like R&B and rap stuff like that I have to say like hm...theres alot um...I love Usher. For rap I would say probably like Lil' Jon or something like that.
Tommy2.Net: Now with those groups you've just mentioned what helps you connect with them? Is it more about the style, the lyrics, or a little bit of both?
Kristin: I think its the lyrics the most because like rap to me these days are just you know like 'yo I wanna kill your mom' or something like that and I'm like oh wow thats interesting. Like to me when I listen to these types of bands they're kind of like for me it explains like the world. Like what...like open your eyes and stuff like that. So thats why I like go towards more rock than I do R&B and rap.
Tommy2.Net: What about in the case of Underoath? What makes you a big fan of theirs?
Kristin: Oh my gosh. Well I know that their amazing live and I know so many...well I know of alot of people that you know lip sync when they perform but like all these rock bands they do it live. No matter what they always do it live and um...just like I said before they lyrics are amazing so thats why I really like them.
Tommy2.Net: So they're the real deal, huh?
Kristin: Yes, exactly!
Tommy2.Net: Now you're also into sports...what are some of your favorites?
Kristin: Um...I would probably say basketball. Its like my favorite, but um...alot of people don't consider this a sport but like surfing too. Yeah, I love surfing too. Yeah...those are like my two favorites.
Tommy2.Net: And I also hear you're quite a dancer?
Kristin: Oh! I don't know...to me I don't think so but of course I love to dance.
Tommy2.Net: So you're saying your not a good dancer but you're the West Coast National Tap Champion?
Kristin: Yeah but that was like a long, long, long time ago. Yeah...I guess so.
Tommy2.Net: Do you still do any of that?
Kristin: Oh no I don't. I probably did that when I was about six or seven years old or eight years old.
Tommy2.Net: So theres probably some classic pictures of you around the house in your tap outfits and all right?
Kristin: Yes, of course. And all my friends are like 'Oh my god thats you!' and I'm like...yeah, how come those aren't put away?
Tommy2.Net: Maybe someone will have to put those up on E-bay?
Kristin: Oh yeah.
Tommy2.Net: Now with your acting career are you able to attend a regular school or are you tutored?
Kristin: Um..I actually just left my um...regular school cause I am in tenth grade um...I left during the second semester so I kinda just recently got into homeschooling.
Tommy2.Net: And hows that going?
Kristin: Oh its going really well. Just like of course, I miss my friends and all cause its so different from being in regular school but I mean at the same time its cool cause you get like more time to figure out things and more time to study like scripts. And when you go to premieres or different parties you have like way more time to plan out stuff and what you're going to wear and where you're going to go shopping and everything.
Tommy2.Net: Right...and more time to work which is what you're doing.
Kristin: Right more time to work too.
Tommy2.Net: Now for someone that hasn't seen your show, Zoey 101 on Nickelodeon could you describe it a little for us?
Kristin: Um...to me its basically, I think every kid can relate to the show because it just talks about how kids go through every day life at school. Whether its through bullies, or just having like being goofy and silly with all your friends. And I think every single person can relate to one of the characters on the show.
Tommy2.Net: Is that kind of wild being on a show where you're roommates with Jamie Lynn Spears?
Kristin: Yeah it kinda is actually really cool cause I've like...well for me I've never really heard of a school that has roommates especially at this young of age. So I think thats really cool but um...being roommates with Jamie Lynn its amazing cause she's one of the most sweetest girls you'll ever meet in your life.
Tommy2.Net: Uh huh...yeah I've heard. Now for fans of the show what would you say your favorite episode has been so far?
Kristin: Um...I'd say like um...the last episode that just came out. It was basically about how all of us were going out like after finals party and then like a group of us got lost and we got seperated from everyone else and basically we're all fighting but in the end we all just came together and ended up having a great time. That would probably be my favorite one.
Tommy2.Net: [Tries to make Kristin sing...] Now you don't have a theme song but you probably know the theme song to Zoey 101.
Kristin: Oh my gosh!...Yeah. Oh my gosh like you don't understand I'm the worst singer you'll ever meet in your life. Um okay! [starts to sing] I don't know! Thats like two lines I don't even know.
Tommy2.Net: Haha thanks we'll leave the rest to Jamie Lynn, huh?
Kristin: Yes..I think we should do that she's the good singer in this part.
Tommy2.Net: Do you have any upcoming projects that we should be looking forward to?
Kristin: Um as of right now its just the show and um...I'm actually focusing on school right now cause like its a tough year to go through right now because tenth grade is pretty hard. But um...right now I've just been going .... nothing right now, but um I'm sure pretty later I'll start going out again.
Tommy2.Net: Yeah going back to the topic of school, what kind of subjects are you working on these days?
Kristin: Um like biology, geometry, english, uh you have to have PE and history.
Tommy2.Net: Too bad they can't have surfing as one of those, huh?
Kristin: I know, that'd be like so cool.
Tommy2.Net: Kristin thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to check in.
Kristin: Oh no problem. Thank you!
